Got it? Well, when it comes to kanji, there’s jōyō, jinmeiyō and hyōgaiji. Jōyō are the most common ones you’ll see around the house. Jinmeiyō are used in names and hyōgaiji are the ones that don’t make the cut. And then there’s on readings which come from how they were originally said in Chinese. Got it? Cool!
